With harvest complete, planting and tillage season has begun. The planting season is intense; much more plays into deciding what to plant and where. It isn't just hopping in another piece of equipment, though. Prep work has to be done, such as procuring the best seed for your farm, analyzing the rate at which seed will go into the ground, and determining the planting conditions that will determine the depth at which the seed will be planted.
Now that we have identified what the farmers do let's discuss what is vital for us during planting season.

It all starts here! When planting, ensure that you keep an accurate record of the acres you have planted and will grow; that way, when you talk to us about your coverage, the correct number is put into your plan.
Watching the deadlines:
Planting is an intense time of the year, ensuring the crop gets put into the ground at the right time and has the proper growing period. It is also vital to have the crop in the ground when the plant deadline comes for the season. We will work with you consistently through all seasons, even after the deadline passes, but there are certain services we can not offer once the time has passed. If you are still planting after the specific time of completion, there are still steps you can take to have the crop insured to an extent.
